Code ofconduct
Last updated 4 November 2026
Design X is a space for industrialists, business owners, designers and students to meet, learn and share ideas about the Future of Design. We want everyone to feel welcome and respected. This code of conduct applies to everyone at Design X 2026: attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and the organising team.
What we expect
- Be respectful and considerate in conversations, questions and online posts about the event.
- Welcome people of every background, discipline and level of experience.
- Respect speakers' time and the audience's attention during sessions.
- Follow the instructions of the venue and the organising team.
What is not acceptable
- Harassment, intimidation or discrimination of any kind, including offensive comments about gender, religion, caste, region, language, disability, appearance or age.
- Unwelcome physical contact or attention, stalking or following someone.
- Photographing or recording people who have asked not to be photographed.
- Disrupting talks or the event.
Photography
If Design X is photographed or filmed for the organisers' records and promotion, you can tell the team if you would prefer not to appear.
If something happens
If you experience or see behaviour that goes against this code, please speak to any member of the organising team at the event, or contact us afterwards. We will treat reports seriously and confidentially. The organisers may ask anyone who breaks this code to leave the event, without a refund.
